Amboseli National Park is Kenya’s first established game park and the word ‘Amboseli’ is the Maasai word for “salt dust”. It is situated on the foot of Mt. Kilimanjaro very close to the Tanzanian border. With the majestic backdrop of Mt. Kilimanjaro, spectacular displays of wildlife (Lion, Elephant, Leopard, Cheetah, and Buffalo) and various plains' game, postcard perfect pictures are almost always guaranteed. This park has a record of over 250species of birds.

DAY 1: Nairobi - Amboseli
Our representative will pick you from your hotel and brief you on the safari before you proceed to Amboseli National Park. You will pass through the Athi River plains the home of the Maasai tribe to Amboseli National Park, a place of stark contrast. The greatest attraction is the vast herds of Elephant within the park. The evening game drive will complete this full day and allow you to see and experience the wilds of Africa in its natural state. Dinner will be served at the campsite.

DAY 2: Amboseli National Park
Full day in the Reserve with morning and late evening game drives. Mount Kilimanjaro will provide a beautiful backdrop. A visit to a Maasai Manyatta will enrich your cultural experience with the local people who are known to co-exist with the wildlife. Dinner and overnight stay at the campsite.

DAY 3: Amboseli - Nairobi
Pre-breakfast game drive. Return for breakfast at the campsite. After breakfast depart for Nairobi with picnic lunch en-route arriving late in the afternoon.



  CRA-K 013: 2 Nights 3 Days Maasai Mara

This safari is to Kenya’s greatest concentration of game - the Maasai Mara. On our way, we pass through Kenya’s Rift Valley Escarpments which offer some of the most breath takingviews.
Maasai Mara is the centre stage of the famous, NEW SEVENTH WONDER OF THE WORLD. Considered as Kenya’s & East Africa's finest game sanctuary, it is here that the most spectacular eventof the natural world takes place -The great annual Savannah Migration! Millions of wildebeest and zebras migrate from the Serengeti National Park to the Maasai Mara in search of water and pasture. The predators of the savannah (Lions, Cheetahs, Wild dogs, Jackals, Hyenas and Vultures) trail on their heels for a bountiful meal. Other than the spectacular migration, the Mara also offers wildlife in such variety and abundance that it is difficult to believe. Over 450 species of animals have been recorded here. You will easily sight the Big Five - Lion, Rhino, Buffalo, Leopard, and Elephant.
The famous Maasai tribesmen also live within the dispersal area of the game reserve. Balloon trips are an entirely outstanding way of seeing the Maasai Mara Habitats and the wildlife after which you come back down for a beautiful champagne breakfast. DAY 1: Nairobi - Maasai Mara
Our representative will pick you from your hotel and brief you on the safari before you proceed to the Maasai Mara Game Reserve. We will drive down the escarpment via the floor of the Great Rift Valley. We set camp before dusk. Dinner and overnight stay at the campsite. In the night you can hear a chorus of different animal sounds as they communicate with each other in the darkness – What better way to experience bush by night?

DAY 2: Maasai Mara
After an early breakfast, we spend a full day in search of the Cats of Mara. This Reserve forms part of the Great Mara-Serengeti Eco-system. Picnic lunch will be served at the Mara River Hippo Point where Hippos and Crocodiles can be viewed basking at the river bed. On clear days, the Mara offers fantastic orange tinted sunsets and you will definitely want tocapture this moment while sipping on a sun downer back at our campsite.

DAY 3: Maasai Mara - Nairobi
After breakfast, break Camp and drive through the northern part of the reserve viewing game as we proceed to the main Narok road where we will have lunch at the same time get a chance to buy souvenirs. We return to Nairobi to arrive by late afternoon.


 

 CRA-K 014: 3 Nights 4 Days Maasai Mara

 

 

DAY 1 – Nairobi - Maasai Mara
Our representative will pick you from your hotel and brief you on the safari before you proceed to the Maasai Mara Game Reserve. We will drive down the escarpment via the floor of the Great Rift Valley. We set camp before dusk. Dinner and overnight stay at the campsite.

DAY 2 & 3 - Maasai Mara
After an early breakfast, we spend a full day in search of the Cats of Mara. This Reserve forms part of the Great Mara-Serengeti Eco-system. Picnic lunch will be served at the Mara River Hippo Point where Hippos and Crocodiles can be viewed basking at the river bed. On clear days, the Mara offers fantastic orange tinted sunsets and you will definitely want to capture this moment while sipping on a sun downer back at our campsite. We also have an option of visiting a Maasai Manyatta to learn more about the local people and their rich culture.

DAY 4 – Maasai Mara - Nairobi
After breakfast, exit Maasai Mara with a drive through the northern part of the reserve viewing game as we proceed to Nairobi


 

  CRA-K 015: 2 Nights 3 Days Aberdare National Park

 


Highlights: : Tree Lodges (The Ark and Treetops Lodge), Spectacular waterfalls, moorland scenery, colorful flora, Second largest population of black rhinos in Salient and Northern Aberdares, Herds of Elephants, Sykes` & Colobus Monkey, Leopard, Lion, Giant forest hog, Bushbuck, Buffalo, Bush Duiker, Suni, Serval, Reedbuck, Eland and the rare Bongo Antelope. The Park is known to host over 200 species of birds. Fishing, Walking, Trekking & Climbing. It is important to note that the Aberdare National Park is heavily forested and this may make it difficult to spot many wildlife species. Aberdare National Park is located Central Highlands west of Mt. Kenya approximately 180 Km from Nairobi via Nyeri. Encircled by the wild and beautiful moorlands of the third highest mountain range in Kenya, this atmospheric park offers a mist-wreathed realm where Elephants roam through lichen-hung forest, spectacular water falls plunge into churning pools, and trout-filled streams cascade through mossy dells. This park is a haven for anglers, walkers and lovers of solitude alike, it also offers matchless views of glittering coronet of Mt. Kenya and the sparkling lakes of the Great Rift Valley.

DAY 1: Nairobi – Aberdare

DAY 2: Aberdares
After an early breakfast, we spend a full day enjoying the diverse topography that includes icy rivers, spectacular waterfalls and rain forests. The flora and fauna is quite unique and is not found elsewhere in the country expect on Mount Kenya. Picnic Lunch with an option of taking a guided trekking along the Moorland. Dinner and overnight stay at our campsite.

DAY 3: Aberdare – Nairobi
After breakfast, exit Aberdare with a drive through the salient part of the park viewing game as we proceed to Nairobi.


 

CRA-K 016: 5 Nights 6 Days Great Rift Valley Lakes / Maasai Mara

 


Highlights: Game and Bird Watching, Camping, Culture, Ethnic, Scenery, Wildlife, Boat Ride, Photography, Island Adventure, Hot springs, Geysers, Natural Spa, Great and Lesser Flamingos, Cultural experience. This is a safari to the world famous Bird Sanctuaries of the Great Rift Valley Lakes:Naivasha, Baringo, Bogoria and Nakuru, then South over the Mau Escarpment to Kenya’s greatest concentration of game - Maasai Mara. Kenya’s rift valley escarpments offer some of the most breath taking views. The Rift Valley is one of the wonders of the world, stretching from the Middle East, down through Africa, reaching as far as Mozambique. The staggering view, as you approach from Nairobi, Kenya is quite unbelievable. The ground suddenly disappears from under you to showthe huge expanse of the great rift, stretching for thousands of miles in either direction. Whilst this stunning introduction to the Rift valley is amazing in itself, exploring the Lakes area of the Rift in Kenya is a rewarding experience.

DAY 1: Nairobi - Lake Baringo
Depart Nairobi in the morning stopping enroute to view the spectacular Great Rift Valley. We stop for lunch along the way then set camp at Lake Baringo, a world famous bird sanctuary, late in the afternoon. We enjoy an evening boat ride in search of Hippo, Crocodile, and Fish Eagle. Lake Baringo is the most Northerly of Kenya’s small Rift Valley lakes; creased with papyrus and well developed acacia forest. Hippos, Crocodiles and Monitor Lizards are effortlessly seen from the shore. The magnificent display of water birds leaves you amazed at God’s phenomenal creation. This is Kenya's bird watching centre with over 1200 recorded species native to the country and more than 450 sighted here. A bird watcher's haven but beware, this is malaria land so its best to come prepared with plenty of mosquito spray. Dinner andovernight stay at our campsite.

DAY 2 - Lake Bogoria - Lake Nakuru
A 30km drive south to the spectacular Lake Bogoria with hot springs and geysers being the main attractions. The lake has been called ‘the new home of the flamingo’ with a nomad population of up to two million birds. We have lunch and then proceed for an afternoon game drive at the Lake Nakuru National Park, which covers 180 sq km. The park is home to Warthogs, Waterbuck, Buffaloes, Reedbucks, and the occasional Leopard. White and black rhinos were introduced to the park some years ago and you may find white rhino at the southern end. The park has also retained its reputation as an ornithologists’ delight with more than 400 species of bird found here. Dinner and overnight stay at our campsite.

DAY 3: Nakuru - Maasai Mara
After breakfast, exit Nakuru National Park with a game drive en route as we proceed to Narok and Maasai Mara Game Reserve. Dinner and overnight stay at our campsite.

DAY 4: Maasai Mara
After an early breakfast, we spend a full day in search of the Cats of Mara. This Reserve forms part of the Great Mara-Serengeti Eco-system. Picnic lunch will be served at the Mara River Hippo Point where Hippos and Crocodiles can be viewed basking at the river bed. On clear days, the Mara offers fantastic orange tinted sunsets and you will definitely want to capture this moment while sipping on a sun downer back at our campsite. The ultimate action here is without doubt the annual wildebeest exodus in July and August when millions of these grass eaters move north from the Serengeti in search of pasture before turning south again in October. Balloon trips are an entirely outstanding way of seeing the savannah plains and the wildlife after which you come back down for a beautiful champagne breakfast. DAY 5: Maasai Mara – Naivasha
A pre-breakfast game drive in search of more game followed by exit off the Mara shortly after lunch heading to Naivasha to arrive late in the evening. Dinner and overnight stay at Campsite at the shores of Lake Naivasha.

DAY 6: Naivasha - Nairobi
Enjoy a full day exploring the beauty of Lake Naivasha which is famous with ornithologists.Take an optional activity involving boating across the Lake and to nearby Crescent Island. We depart Naivasha late in the afternoon to arrive in Nairobi just before dusk.


CRA-K 017: 6 Nights 7 Days Tsavo East / Tsavo West / Amboseli

 


Highlights: Game and Bird Watching, Camping, Culture, Ethnic, Scenery, Wildlife, Photography, Rhino Sanctuary, Mzima Springs, Chyulu Hills, Shetani Lava, Lugard Falls,Mudanda Rock, Picnic sites, Chaimu Rock and Ngulia Hills. Tsavo is Kenya's largest safari destination and one of the largest wildlife sanctuaries in the world! On safari in Tsavo you'll see large herds of Red-soiled Elephants caused by the thin red dust found in Tsavo. There are interesting geographical features in Tsavo, including the Lugard Falls and the Mzima Springs, where an underwater observatory allows you to view the Hippos, Crocodiles and other marine life. Mount Kilimanjaro dominates the western horizon and is a spectacular sight from across the plains.

DAY 1: Nairobi - Tsavo East
We pick you up from your hotel with a tour briefing before we drive to Tsavo East National Park. Game drive enroute to the campsite. Check-in at the campsite where lunch will be served. Afternoon game drives, dinner and overnight stay at the camp.

DAY 2: Tsavo East
Full day in the park with early morning and late evening game drives. Meals will be provided at the camp with an option of picnic lunch. Dinner and overnight stay at the camp

DAY 3: Tsavo East - Tsavo West
After breakfast, depart for Tsavo West National Park. One of the main attractions of Tsavo West is Mzima Springs which are favorite haunts of the fish, hippo and crocodile that can be seen from an underwater observation chamber. Afternoon game drive, dinner and overnight stay at the camp.

DAY 4: Tsavo West
Full day in the park with early morning and late evening game drives and nature trails. Tsavo West covers a wide variety of landscapes, from swamps and natural springs to rocky peaks, extinct volcanic cones and rolling plains. Dinner and overnight stay at the camp

DAY 5: Tsavo West - Amboseli
After breakfast, depart for Amboseli National Park across the lava flow arriving in time for lunch. A rest before an afternoon game drive enables you to explore this park set so picturesquely at the foot of Africa's highest mountain Mt Kilimanjaro. Dinner and overnight stay at the camp

DAY 6 – Amboseli

CRA-K 018: 7 Nights 8 Days Samburu / Aberdare / Lake Nakuru / Lake Naivasha

 


Highlights: Game and Bird Watching, Camping, Culture, Ethnic, Scenery, Wildlife, Photography, Boating, Island Adventure, Nature Trails. Samburu National Reserve is a wildlife haven. Here you will spot Africa’s big cats - Lions,Cheetahs and the elusive Leopard. Some animals are unique to this northern Kenya Park: Grevy's Zebra, Reticulated Giraffe, Kudu and Gerenuk. The Ewaso Nyiro River, the boundary with the neighboring Buffalo Springs National Reserve, is where the Elephants, Buffalo and other animal species gather for a drink. You will find the scenic semi-arid landscape quite dramatic. The reserve is located within the lands of the colorful semi-nomadic Samburu tribesmen.

DAY 1: Nairobi - Samburu
Early departure for Samburu National Reserve which lies on the vast semi desert lands of Northern Kenya arriving in time for lunch. Afternoon game drive will introduce you to the animals which are peculiar to this area; the Reticulated Giraffe, Grevy's Zebra and the Somali Ostrich. Lions are also frequently seen on the riverbanks, and Cheetah can be found on the open plains. Dinner and overnight stay at the camp.

DAY 2: Samburu
We spend a full day in the Reserve with early morning and late evening game drives. Meals will be provided at the camp with an option of picnic lunch. Dinner and overnight stay at the camp.

DAY 3: Samburu - Aberdare
After breakfast, depart for Aberdare National Park. Attractions include spectacular waterfalls, mountains, walks in the moorlands and different species of wildlife. Queen Elizabeth learned of her accession to the throne at Tree-tops in Aberdare Kenya. Dinner and overnight stay at the campsite.

DAY 4: Aberdare
We spend a full day in the park with early morning and late evening game drives. Picnic Lunch with an option of taking a guided trekking along the Moorland. Dinner and overnight stay at our campsite.

DAY 5: Aberdare - Lake Nakuru
After breakfast, depart for Lake Nakuru National Park. This park is home to Flamingos (Greater and Lesser) and other water birds including a variety of terrestrial birds numbering about 450 species in total. Others include Warthog, Waterbuck, Buffalo, Reedbuck, Leopard and Rhinos. Dinner and overnight stay at the camp.

DAY 6: Lake Nakuru
We spend a full day in the park with early morning and late evening game drives. Other attractions in the park include Makalia Falls, Baboon observation Hill among others. Dinner and overnight stay at the camp.

DAY 7: Lake Nakuru - Lake Naivasha
After breakfast, depart for Lake Naivasha. Enjoy the boat ride with a view of Hippos and different species of birds. Whilst not a National park or Reserve itself, the Lake Naivasha Basin holds two small National Parks, both of which are well worth a visit. Excellent bird watching, a large population of Hippo, good fishing and a wide range of superb hotels, camps and lodges make Lake Naivasha a favored spot for weekend breaks. Lunch, dinner and overnight stay at the shores of the Lake.

DAY 8: Lake Naivasha - Nairobi
After breakfast, take an optional activity involving boating across the Lake and to nearby Crescent Island. We depart Naivasha late in the afternoon to arrive in Nairobi just before dusk.

The resorts’ convenient location gives guests easy access to a huge variety of historical, sporting and cultural attractions, including Africa’s largest crocodile farm and the world-famous Bamburi Nature Trail. Dinner and overnight stay at a campsite or budget hotel.

DAY 4: Mombasa
We spend a full day at own leisure. Possible variety of activities includes: Water sports such as Ocean Swimming, Snorkeling, Wind surfing, Scuba diving among others. DAY 5: Mombasa - Tsavo West After breakfast, depart for Tsavo West National Park and enjoy a picnic lunch enroute. CRA-K 020: 7 Nights 8 Days - Samburu / Marsabit / Chalbi Desert / Jade Sea

 

 

Adventure /Maralal Highlights: Game and Bird Watching, Camping, Lake Turkana, Culture, Ethnic, Scenery,Wildlife, Photography and Nyahururu falls {formerly Thompson falls}. This rugged 1,800 km expedition is designed for ardent adventure lovers. You travel in a purposely- built truck that takes you into the heart of the northern Kenya wilds. You traverse through some of the Africa’s most challenging roads, see beautiful mountain forestssurrounded on all sides by hot dusty deserts, eventually arriving at the desert ocean – the Jade Sea (Lake Turkana). On the way, you will encounter a variety of colorful tribes-people, whose lives are littletouched by the modern lifestyle. You may also get to cross the shimmering seemingly endless sands of the Chalbi Desert - if dry. During the rains it becomes an enormous shallow lake. You end up at Lake Turkana located in a region that is one of the great sources of evidence of the emergence of modern man. The lake has an impressive variety of birdlife and the big game fishing is spectacular.

DAY 1: Nairobi - Samburu
Early departure for Samburu National Reserve which lies on the vast semi desert lands of Northern Kenya arriving in time for lunch. Afternoon game drive will introduce you to the animals which are peculiar to this area; the Reticulated Giraffe, Grevy's Zebra and the Somali Ostrich. Lions are also frequently seen on the riverbanks, and Cheetah can be found on the open plains. Dinner and overnight at camp.

DAY 2: Samburu
We spend a full day in the Reserve with early morning and late evening game drives. Meals will be provided at the camp with an option of picnic lunch. Dinner and overnight at camp. DAY 3: Samburu - Marsabit After breakfast, we exit Samburu as we head further north along the Trans African highway to Marsabit. After setting up camp you will visit the lodge inside Marsabit National Park. The lodge is situated on the edge of a water-filled crater and you have a good chance of seeing Elephants, Buffalo, and Kudu. Mount Marsabit on which the park is located rises above the desert floor to 1700 meters. The mountain has created its own microclimate and a mist usually hugs its slopes. Though the lower slopes are dry, higher levels are heavily forested and you find several crater lakes, swamps and unique wildlife. This park has a record of 300 bird species. DAY 4: Marsabit – Kalacha
After breakfast we exit Marsabit National Park with a brief visit to Marsabit town and another volcanic crater before making your way back into the desert and lava flows. We campfor overnight stay at Kalacha, a small settlement on the edge of Chalbi desert. Dinner and overnight at Campsite

DAY 5: Kalacha – Lake Turkana
After an early breakfast, we depart for the adventure of crossing the scenic and hot Chalbi desert. The glistening endless sands stretch for 300 km up to Lake Turkana. The desert cannot be crossed if wet, but there are alternative routes around the north and south. We arrive soon after lunch at a semi permanent beach village outside Loiyangalani on the shores of Lake Turkana. At the campsite, we have the option of using traditional Turkana huts or otherwise set up tents. After a long and scotchy journey through the desert, we relax as we enjoy the cool breeze blowing from the lake and protected from the scorching sun and heat that is characteristic of the harsh climate of this remote area. Dinner and overnight at Campsite.

DAY 6: Lake Turkana
We spend a full day relaxing and sun bathing at the shores of Lake Turkana, with an optional short boat excursion to the surrounding areas. The visit will enrich our cultural knowledge of the Turkana community. Our visit will be climaxed by a LIVE Turkana Manyatta experience where we will enjoy traditional dances by the colorful Turkana people under the magnificent sky (these activities attract a minimal extra cost). Turkana, formerly L. Rudolf is now named after one of the tribes who live on its shores and it is in this area that Richard Leakey uncovered the three million year old fossils of ‘Homo Erectus.’ This pre historic site is now known as the “Cradle of Mankind”. The Lake is also known as the “Jade Sea” because of its remarkable blue – green colour. This is a result of algae particles, which shift with changes of the wind and light, so that the water surface shifts from blue to grey to fabulous jade. DAY 7: Lake Turkana - Maralal
After breakfast, we exit Jade Sea as we journey via South Horr and Baragoi to reach Maralal. As we approach Maralal, we will come across one of the most breath taking scenes in Kenya – the Losiolo escarpment, an endless stretch as land drops down to the Suguta valley. Maralal is also home of the Maralal International Camel Derby that happens once a year between July and October and attracts riders and spectators from the four corners of the world. DAY 8: Maralal - Nairobi
After breakfast, we resume our southbound drive via Laikipia plains and Nyahururu (Thompson’s Falls). After lunch, we drive further towards Nairobi arriving late in the afternoon.

DAY 1: Nairobi - Maasai Mara
Our representative will pick you from your hotel and brief you on the safari before you proceed to the Maasai Mara Game Reserve. We will drive down the escarpment via the floor of the Great Rift Valley. We set camp before dusk. Dinner and overnight stay at our campsite. In the night you can hear a chorus of different animal sounds as they communicate with each other in the darkness – What better way to experience bush by night?

DAY 2: Maasai Mara
After an early breakfast, we spend a full day in search of the Cats of Mara. This Reserve forms part of the Great Mara-Serengeti Eco-system. Picnic lunch will be served at the Mara River Hippo Point where Hippos and Crocodiles can be viewed basking at the river bed. On clear days, the Mara offers fantastic orange tinted sunsets and you will definitely want to capture this moment while sipping on a sun downer back at our campsite. We also have an option of visiting a Maasai Manyatta to learn more about the local people and their rich culture. Balloon trips are also an entirely outstanding way of seeing thesavannah plains and the wildlife after which you come back down for a beautiful champagne breakfast. DAY 3: Maasai Mara - Lake Nakuru
After breakfast, exit Maasai Mara for Nakuru with a stop for lunch enroute, with scenic views of the Rift Valley farmlands. Game drive as we make our entry into Lake Nakuru National Park just before dusk. Dinner and overnight at the campsite.

DAY 4: Lake Nakuru
We spend a full day in the park with early morning and late evening game drives. This park is home to Flamingos (Greater and Lesser) and other water birds including a variety of terrestrial birds numbering about 450 species in total. Others include Warthog, Waterbuck, Buffalo, Reedbuck, Leopard and Rhinos. Other attractions in the park include Makalia Falls, Baboon observation Hill among others. Dinner and overnight stay at the campsite.

DAY 5: Lake Nakuru - Samburu
After breakfast, depart for Samburu Game Reserve via the Nyahururu Falls formerly Thompson Falls which were named after Joseph Thompson, one of the first European explorers who walked from Mombasa to Lake Victoria in the 1880’s. Lunch and game drive enroute. Dinner and overnight stay at the campsite.

DAY 6: Samburu
We spend a full day in the Reserve. Meals will be provided at the camp with an option of picnic lunch. Afternoon game drive will introduce you to the animals which are peculiar to this area; the Reticulated Giraffe, Grevy's Zebra and the Somali Ostrich. Lions are also frequently seen on the riverbanks, and Cheetah can be found on the open plains. Dinner and overnight stay at the campsite.

DAY 7: Samburu - Meru
After breakfast, depart for Meru National Park. Attractions include: Former home of Joy and George Adamson, the grave of Elsa the lioness, Adamson's Falls, Game Viewing and stunning views of Mt Kenya, Bird watching, Fishing. Situated in the old Northern Frontier District, straddling the equator and bisected by 13 rivers and numerous mountain-fed streams, Meru National Park is wild and one of the most beautiful parks in Kenya. A green paradise compared to the dry savannah of Kenya's parks, Tthis was the wilderness into which George & Joy Adamson released Elsa the lioness, creating the much-loved film 'Born Free'. It has diverse scenery from woodlands to wide-open plains, meandering riverbanks, hilly landscapes and rich grey alluvial volcanic soil deposits. Three large rivers border the reserve: the Tana to the South, the Ura to the South-west and the Rojeweru to the East. Dinner and overnight stay at the campsite.

DAY 8: Meru
We spend a full day in the Park. Game viewing in Meru includes large herds of Buffalo, Bushbuck, Duiker, Eland, Elephant, Gazelle, Genet, Giraffe, Hartebeest, Impala, Kudu, Waterbuck and Zebra. Expect to see Baboons, Hyena, Jackal, Kudu, Lion, Mongoose, Oryx, Oribi, Vervet Monkeys and Warthog. You may see Wild dog, Bush baby, Caracal, Cheetah, Civet, Dik-dik, Leopard, Otter, Bush pig, Porcupine, Black and White Rhino. The rivers abound with Hippo and Crocodile. Birdlife includes Peter's fin foot which inhabits the Murera and Ura Rivers, the Pel's Fishing Owl, Kingfishers, Rollers, Bee-eaters, Starlings and numerous Weavers. Dinner and overnight stay at the campsite.

DAY 9: Meru - Nairobi
After breakfast, exit the Park for Nairobi with lunch enroute to arrive early evening.
